Note

Last-Minute Reservations (Less Than 6 Weeks Before Tour Date): If you book a tour to Machu Picchu within 4 weeks of your departure, we may need to adjust the itinerary to help secure your entry to the ruins. We strongly recommend booking your Machu Picchu tour well in advance (over 3 months ahead) to avoid these complications. Since tickets to Machu Picchu sell out quickly, authorities are now releasing a limited number of tickets at the Aguas Calientes ticket office for the following day. To obtain one of these last-minute tickets, there is a waiting system in Aguas Calientes. We will assist all last-minute bookings with this process. Typically, the expected circuits are Circuit 1 or 2, but this is not guaranteed. There is a small risk that Circuit 1 and 2 will sell out, in which case the traveler would need to pay an additional 48 soles for a Circuit 3 or 4 ticket. We cannot influence this in advance, as it depends on availability and the queue on the day. When booking, please select your correct tour option. We offer 3 tour services: Budget, Standard, and Premium. Each specializes in different services and inclusions.

Tour Plan

  • Hotel Pickup: We will start the tour at 10:00 AM, picking you up from your hotel. Please make sure to be ready on time so you don’t miss out on this exciting adventure.

Be sure to have your camera ready, as you’ll have opportunities to capture unforgettable landscapes.
  • Train Journey from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes: At 12:58 PM, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). The train experience is comfortable, allowing you to relax as you get closer to one of the wonders of the world.

  • Guided Tour of Machu Picchu: Once you have entered the sacred site of Machu Picchu, our guide will conduct a 2-hour tour. You will see the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, and the Royal Rooms, among other points of interest. After the tour, you will have free time to explore, take photographs, or simply walk around the Machu Picchu sanctuary.
  • Return to Cusco: At the end of the day, in the afternoon, you will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and then continue by bus to Cusco.

Note: You must email us a scanned copy or a photograph of your passport immediately after booking your tour. This is to enable the purchase of your entry ticket to Machu Picchu. It must be the passport you will use to enter Machu Picchu. This is a requirement when booking any tour to Machu Picchu with any operator.

Note: If you are staying in a different location than the one you selected as your pickup point, it is explicitly your responsibility to be at the main entrance of the selected hotel or hostel during the pickup time window on the date of your tour. You should be in a visible and easy-to-see location for the operator and be alert to their vehicle/guide when they come to pick you up for the tour.

It is important to book in advance to secure the best schedules, especially during high season: Easter, June to September, and Christmas. For entry to Huayna Picchu, we suggest booking more than 3 months in advance, as only 400 tickets are available daily, and they sell out quickly.

Machu Picchu can be visited year-round. However, the dry season from June to September reduces the risk of rain, although it coincides with the peak tourist season.

No, the tour has never been canceled due to weather conditions. The section between Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes is done by train, so road closures do not affect the journey.

Two companies operate the route: Inca Rail and Peru Rail. Both offer tourist trains that travel at low speeds to enjoy the scenery. The most common categories are:

  • Expedition/Voyager:
