Tour Plan

  • Pickup and Departure: Between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco to start this exciting adventure. We’ll head toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through charming towns like Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. We'll make a brief stop in Ollantaytambo to gather supplies before continuing.
  • Mountain Biking from Abra Málaga: After approximately 3.5 hours of bus travel, we'll arrive at the impressive Abra Málaga (4,350 m.a.s.l.) around 11 a.m. Here, the thrilling bike ride begins, descending towards the edge of the jungle. On this 65 km route, you'll pass through small towns, fruit fields, rivers, and streams, enjoying unparalleled landscapes until reaching Huamanmarca, where the bike route ends.
  • Lunch in Santa María: After this two-wheeled adventure, we will head to the town of Santa María for a delicious typical lunch.
  • Optional Rafting: After a short rest, the more adventurous can participate in an exciting rafting session on the river, facing class III-IV rapids guided by certified instructors, accompanied by a safety kayak. Those not participating in the rafting can proceed to the next destination.
  • Accommodation in Pispitayoc: After the rafting adrenaline, we’ll transfer to Santa Rosa, and after a 20-minute walk, we’ll reach El Grifo, a cozy lodge surrounded by lush vegetation, where we will spend the first night.

  • Breakfast and Optional Zipline: After a hearty breakfast, you can choose to enjoy a zipline experience in Santa Teresa, soaring over the landscape in an exhilarating activity. Then, we’ll reunite with the group to continue our adventure.
  • Hike to Hidroelectrica: After enjoying the views and a short rest, we’ll head to Hidroelectrica, where a delicious lunch awaits. From here, we’ll continue hiking past waterfalls, coffee, and coca plantations, eventually reaching the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes.
  • Night in Aguas Calientes: We will settle into a cozy hostel with all necessary comforts (private bathroom, hot shower, and WiFi). This will be our last night before the long-awaited visit to Machu Picchu.

  • Ascent to Machu Picchu: At 4:00 a.m., we will start our hike towards the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, enjoying the sunrise over the mountains. Once inside the park, we’ll have a guided tour of approximately two and a half hours, where our guide will share fascinating stories and details about this wonder of the world.
  • Free Time and Return: After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore and take photos. Travelers who booked access can hike Huayna Picchu and enjoy an unparalleled panoramic view of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, we will descend to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then continue by bus to Cusco, concluding our unforgettable adventure.
