On December 15, 2024, ticket sales for the year 2025 will open. If you're planning to book your tour to Machu Picchu for the classic Circuit 2, there is still time to secure your reservation. Note: We have three service categories. The itinerary may vary according to the selected category. BUDGET category with an economic budget, STANDARD category with some benefits, and PREMIUM category with improved services. It is important to read the options and what is included in each category.

Tour Plan

  • Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Ollantaytambo.We will start the day early (between 3:40 AM and 8:00 AM, depending on your reserved option). We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. From there, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, known as the town of Machu Picchu.
  • Train journey to Aguas Calientes. During the journey, you will enjoy spectacular views of mountains, rivers, and green valleys. The train itself is an experience, with large panoramic windows that allow you to appreciate the majesty of the region.
  • Bus to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will take a bus that will take us to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Citadel. This journey lasts approximately 25 minutes along a winding mountain road.
  • Guided tour of Machu Picchu (2.5 to 3 hours). Accompanied by a professional guide, you will explore the main attractions of Machu Picchu, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Plaza, and the Sacred Rock. You will discover the fascinating history and mysteries of this citadel.
  • Descent to Aguas Calientes. After the guided tour, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to have lunch or explore the picturesque town.
  • Return to Cusco. We will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, and from there, a tourist transfer will take you back to your hotel in Cusco. This journey combines train
    and bus and lasts approximately 4 hours.

Last-Minute Bookings (Less Than 6 Weeks Before the Tour Date):
If you book a Machu Picchu tour with HakuTravel within 6 weeks of your departure date, we may need to adjust the itinerary to secure last-minute entry to the ruins. We recommend booking your tour with 3 months in advance to avoid these changes and ensure availability for the most popular circuits.
Our standard program follows the Classic Circuit (Route 2), known for offering a complete experience of the citadel. If this circuit is unavailable for your chosen date, HakuTravel will provide alternative available circuits, such as Circuit 1 or Circuit 3.
